For nearly 4 years, SNV Netherlands' Climate Resilient Agribusiness For Tomorrow (CRAFT) Project has contributed to building bankable climate clever agri-cooperatives through a combination of business plan and capacity development interventions based on key institutional challenges in areas like governance as well as financial and performance management.

Implemented in collaboration with Agriterra, this has resulted in mass adoption of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices since services like collective bulking, processing, and marketing which CRAFT cooperatives offer enable farmers to earn more profit from their harvest thus increasing their ability to invest in #ClimateAction.

And apart from improving access to genuine agro-inputs such as drought tolerant and disease resistant seedlings, fertilizers, and pesticides; collective saving has also made it easy for CRAFT agri-cooperatives to invest in climate-smart technologies and machinery that their members now use to improve their resilience to climate change.
